STERLING £87,948 LOWER INCREASE IN ADVANCES TOTAL £500,000 LOWER (For Press Associutiim.) WELLINGTON, last night. The Reserve Bank return far the week ended Monday. October 16. war gazetted to-night. The statement is balanced at £35,050.707. or £3117.230 more than at the close of the previous week. The sterling exchange reserve, at £5,545.212, is 687.948 lower in value than it was a week previously. The total of notes and oilier demand liabilities is £378,000 greater. Tinratio has fallen from 25.847 per cent to 25.279 per cent,. There has been an increase of £501.300 in the level of advance* - those to the Primary Produc’* M~--keling Department are £351.300 higher, while advances for ether purposes are up £ 150.000.
