CENTENNIAL MARINE DRIVE To-morrow Afternoon, Sunday, Oct. 22, 1939 The ceremony of the turning of the first sort will be celebrated. At 2.30 pm the WEC.M.R Band will meet close to the harbour leading light near tho beach at the west end of Salisbury Road. The Band will play a short programme of music and at 3 P.m. the Mayor of Gisborne and Chairmen of tho Cook County Council and the Gisborne Harbour Board will give short addresses; after which His Worship the Mayor, Mr. D. W. Coleman, MW., will turn tho first sod of tHe Centennial Marine Drive, and the proceedings will close with the National Anthem.
