FORCED OFF ROAD

SERVICE CAR CAPSIZES PASSENGER INJURED (Per Press Assoritifion.) CARTERTON, this day. As a result of the capsize of a service ear on the main road from Grcytown to Carterton at daybreak this morning, a passenger, Owen Casey, of 20 Jessie street, Wellington, was admitted to the Masterton Hospital with injuries to the shoulder. His condition is not serious.

Two other passengers, ladies, were not injured, but are suffering from slight shock. The driver, Leslie Burt, alleged that he was forced off the road by a small car on the wrong side. He travelled along the grass for some distance and then broadsided and turned over. The other car did not stop.

Mr. Casey was pinned under the car, which had to bo jacked up before he was released.
