CAULFIELD CUP DAY
N.Z. HORSES IN FORM SEVERAL DEFECTIONS (Elec. Tel, Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Oct. 21, 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Oct. 20. The New Zealand horses, Elanage and Wilson, worked steadily to-day. Both are fit. Fine, warm weather is forecast for the Caulfield Cup to-morrow. El Golea was scratched for the Cup at 2.25 to-day.
Reading is unlikely to be a runner as he is suffering from soreness. His trainer hopes he will be fit enough to run at Flemington.
