ILLEGAL ARMS TRAFFIC
DISCOVERY IN SYRIA (Reed. Aug. 5, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 4. The Beirut correspondent of The Times states that an extensive illegal arms trade, allegedly under the protection of high Lebanese officials, with the co-operation of foreign elements, is believed to have been unearthed by the discovery of arms and ammunition in a house in Beirut.
