MELBOURNE, This Day (Rec. 1 p.m.).—Victoria’s leading sprinter, Murray Morris, has been selected to go to New Zealand for the Centennial Games in place of the national title holder, Edwin Carr, who withdrew with sprained leg muscles. The Amateur Athletic Union of Australia agreed yesterday that Morris should represent Australia after the Victorian Athletic Association had presented Morris’s credentials.
