N.Z. Violinist Wins Third Prize At Prague
PRAGUE, June 2 (Rec. 11 a.m.).— The young New Zealand violinist, Alan Loveday. won third prize in the Jan Kubelik violin competition. The first, second, fourth and fifth prizes went to Russians. An international jury, including several Western musicians, adjudicated in the competition among 35 competitors from 15 different countries. The 21-year-old Loveday was a pupil of Albert Sammons.
