SOCIALISTS AND COMMUNISTS JOIN IN PRAGUE
(Recd. 10.55 a.m.) PRAGUE, June 27. The Communist Party swallowed the 30-year-old Czech Social Democrat Party at a beflagged ceremony in Prague’s biggest auditorium today when the delegates ratified fusion. The Prime Minister, M. Zapotocky, presided. The combined party bears _. the name of Communist Party. President Gottwald is chairman, Mr Fierlinger vice-chairman and Mr Dudolf Slansky secretary-general.
