CELTIC SURPRISES IN BEATING UNITED

United senior’s sadly missed their representative five-eighths, Dewar and Gillan, and Celtic in. their match on Saturday, secured one of its few victories of the season. Though United opened the scoring, Celtic had the better of most of the play and was rather unlucky not to be awarded more than two tries. The final score was Celtic 8, United 3. W. Hamilton and J. Fitzgerald scored tries for Celtic, A. Fauth converting the first from the sideline, but failing with the second kick from in front of the posts. Mr R. Ferguson was the referee.
