SWIMMING Broadcast of West Coast Championships

This season’s West Coast swimming championships to be held at Runanga on March 1 and 2, will probably be broadcast over radio station 3ZR Greymouth, according to information supplied to.the West Coast Swimming Centre at its meeting this week. The president, Mr. M. R. Bunt, advised that he had received ,a favourable reply from "the local manager regarding the centre’s request for a broadcast description of the events. The meeting decided to leave the arrangements to the Runanga Club. The Greymouth Yacht Club was granted permission to conduct a halfmile river swim on Boxing Day in conjunction with the club’s regatta. The Runanga Club reported that a member, Miss L. Manderson, had nominated to compete at the New Zealand Swimming Championships to be held in Invercargill next year.— It was decided to congratulate the club. , , The .Westport Club forwarded ap-
