TABLE TENNIS Results of Competition Matches

The results of the matches played under the auspices of the Greymouth Table Tennis Union last week, are as follow: — Dispatch A, 11 sets, defeated P. cincl T A. 1 set. National Service, 7 sets, defeated P. and T. B, 5 sets. . St. Columba, 7 sets, defeated St. John’s Badminton Club, 5 sets. Woolworths A, 8 sets, defeated Wcolwcrths B. 4 sets. x Runanga- A, 10 seis, defeated Grey Aero Club, 2 sets. Loco, 7 sets, defeated Dispatch C, 5 sets.

Runanga B, 7 sets, defeated Dispatch B, 5 sets. The fixtures for the coming week are as follow: —

A Grade. —St. Columba v. Runanga B. St. John’s Badminton Club v. P. and T. A. Dispatch A v. Grey Aero Club. Grey Motors v. Social Security. Runanga Av. Dispatch B. B Grade. —Woolworths A v. Loco. AVoolworths B v. P. and T. B. National Service v. Dispatch C. Use of Town Hall Room.

The Table Tennis Union has been successful in its efforts to obtain the use of a room upstairs in the Greymouth .town hall, and this room will be available to table tennis playerson four nights each week. Tables will be erected in the room next week and equipment made available. Some competition matches may be played in the rooms, but informal matches between interested persons will be played on most nights.
