It’s not often that a Rugby forward kicks a field goal, especially from 40 yards out, but Tori Reid, All Black and Hawke’s Bay representative, did just this in a recent club match. Reid, playing for M.A.C., claimed a mark, but his call—something of an afterthought—was not allowed. Reid, looking somewhat surprised, sorted up the general direction of the goalposts, and kicked a beautiful goal. Reid has lost little of his former allround ability.
