FEDERAL ELECTIONS
SEPTEMBER 28 CHOSEN IN AUSTRALIA CANBERRA, July 30. The Federal elections will be held on Saturday, September 28, according to an announcement to-day by the Prime Minister (Mr. Chifley) in the House of Representatives. Voting on three referendum questions associated with the proposed constitutional alterations will take place on the same date.
