OBITUARY Mother Mary Claver
The death occurred yesterday at St. Columbkille’s Convent, Hokitika, of the Rev. Mother Mary Claver Ryan, aged 91. Mother Claver, who was borh in County Clare, Eire, was one of the two remaining members of the original community of the ’seventies. She was formerly Mother Superior at Hokitika and had taught at several other convent schools. The funeral will take place tomorrow, following Requiem Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Hokitika.
