GUEST ARTIST AT LONDON CONCERT LONDON, July 30. A New Zealand violinist, Miss Cecilia Keating had the distinction of being invited to play at a reception in London to the conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation, at which 52 nations were represented. Other artists . invited were Michal Hambourg, daughter of Mark Hambourg, who was the solo pianist, and Frederick Fuller, baritone. The delegates were received by the Minister of Education (Miss Ellen Wilkinson). It was _the first occasion on which the British Government had invited players to perform at an official reception. Miss Keating is well-known to Greymouth residents. She received her initial musical training at the Convent of Mercy, Greymouth and, accompanied by her mother and sis-ter,-went to England some years ago to further her musical studies.
