COMMERCIAL PLANS FOR WOOL AUCTION SEASON

[N'.Z.I’.A. Special Correspondent.] LONDON, July 30. Dominion and United Kingdom wool auction plans at present arranged officially are: Australia is to open the season on September 2, and will offer 1,200,000 bales before Christmas. New Zealand will open the season on September 18 and will offer 131,000 bales of old wool and crutchings in September and October. The new season is to open on Novembei 14, and 167,000 bales will be offered between then and Christmas. The South African dates are not definitely fixed, and hopes of starting early in September are contingent on the clearance of accumulations of unshipped wool. The United Kingdom is to open the season in London on September 9, and between 300,000 and 400,000 bales are to be offered before Christmas. It is officially stated that the London opening date is provisional, and dependent upon the clearance of wool from Dominion ports and the practicability of carrying out the Dominion sale programmes already announced. Wool - traders in Bradford have some misgivings about the official decision to give catalogue piffilication to the yields of old wool offered here They complain that this course will present to everyone the fruits of expert technical skill and knowledge.
