Times Have Changed A. Wellington merchant, after advertising for weeks for an office boy, engaged one the other day, at £5 a week. The boy, who was the only applicant for the job, is 16 years of age and he was getting over £4 in his previous employment. The merchant remarked to a friend that when he came to New Zealand many years ago he had to pay a substantial premium to obtain employment in., his trade. ‘Times have certainly changed,” he added.
