Police-Sergeants H. O. L. Hansen and B. W. Wootton have commenced duty at Greymouth. Both were transferred from Christchurch. Warrant Officer R. Williams, who has been visiting Greymouth, left this morning on return to Wellington.

Three members of the Blaketown Rugby Football Club, Messrs. D. Inwood, A. Inwood, and C. Dalziel, left this morning for Lyttelton, where they will join the Merchant Navy. At a function held last evening, members of the club gathered to bid farewell to the three men, and, on behalf of # those present, Mr. A. Agnew, club captain, presented each with a fountain pen.

Major-General W. G. Stevens.is likely to succeed Dr. R. M.. Campbell as official secretary in the High Commissioner’s Office, London. Mr. D. Zohrab, who is acting as private secretary to the Attorney-General, Mr. Mason, during the Peace Conference, is’to undertake publicity work in the High Commissioner’s Office after the conference.
