COBDEN STREETS

FORMATION WORK BY

BULLDOZER

The bulldozer being used by the Greymouth Borough Council is now engaged on its final task on the south side of the river. When it has completed operations between the Town Belt and Murray street it will commence work at Cobden. The borough engineer, Mr. A. J. Fairmaid, said this morning that works to be given immediate attention were the forming of Richmond street, between Peel street and Nelson quay, levelling the area purchased by the council for a children’s playground in the Bright street area, and the forming of Pitt street. Other necessary work in Cobden, he added, would be attended to.
