AMERICAN PROPOSAL FOR CHINA PEKING, July 28. Chinese Government and Communist representatives at truce headquarters in Changchun accepted an American proposal for the setting up of two inspection teams which will establish a 20-mile wide “No Man’s Land” along the Sungari river. It was emphasised that the. two. inspection teams will have jurisdiction over the vacated area, which is designed to prevent clashes in Manchuria and not to form the basis of any territorial division.
