WRESTLING Blomfield Beats Katan
(P.A. ‘AUCKLAND, July 211. In a dull bout marked by the use of questionable tactics by both wrestlers and enlivened in the seventh round by an exchange of blows in which the referee was caught when he tried to intervene, “Lofty” Blomfielcl was declared the winner in the seventh round when his .opponent John Katan of Canada, was disqualified. .Katan gained a fall in the fifth round after a spectacular aeroplane spin. In the sixth round Blomfield, after he had been again dumped after an aeroplane spin, retaliated quickly with a body press to gain a fall.
