REEFTON 11, 131 TONS OF COAL IN FOUR WEEKS

Reefton coal mines for the four weekly period ended July 27 produced 11,131 tons of coal for consignment from Reefton railway yards. This compares favourably with the quantity mined for five weeks to June "29, which was 13,422 tons. Production for the week ended July 27 was 2.599 tons, a reduction oh the previous week’s figures caused by shipping space shortage. At least two mines had to cease production for part of the week because of this, and the bad weather also, affected, the output, blocking the outlet road from one coal mine for some years. x VISITORS TO FOOTBALL
