ASSOCIATION Representative Team Selected

Matches between Blackball; Greymouth, Runanga and Taylorville Association teams were played on the Taylorville Domain on Saturday, for the purpose of giving the selectors Messrs Winstanley, J-. McNicol, and W. Berry the opportunity to select a representative team to meet Canterbury at Greymouth on August 10. The first game was between Runanga and Taylorville and after an even and interesting game, Taylorville won by one goal to nil. Cruse scored for Taylorville. The second game between Blackball and Greymouth was productive of brighter play, and was won by Blackball by five goals to one. The goal scorers for Blackball were P. Mountford (2), R. Clark, A. Clark and Bateman. Gunn scored for Greymouth. The selectors announced the following players to represent West Coast: Goal: Boilette (G.) Eacks: Bailey (B), Armstrong (K). Halves: Nuttall (E), Bowman (R), Lee(T). Forwards: A. Clark (B),Ryan (G), Phillip (B), Scott (R), E. Dando (T). Emergencies: Newton (R), Malone (T). A junior match at Blackball Jbetween Blackball and Runanga juniors ended in a win for Blackball by four goals to nil. C. McGougan (3) and Doyle were the scorers.
