FLANDIN SENTENCED
FIVE YEARS’ NATIONAL INDIGNITY PARIS, July 27. Pierre Flandin, who was Foreign Minister in the Vichy Government for three months, has been sentenced by the French High Court, to five years’ national indignity (loss of civil rights). The Court expressed the opinion that Flandin’s actions while he was Vichy Foreign Minister did not constitute collaboration. Flandin was a member of various French Cabjnets in the pre-war years, and was Prime Minister in 1934-35. .
