ARMY DESERTER
YEAR’S IMPRISONMENT
ORDERED
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, July 29. Found guilty by district courtmartial of desertion from a territorial unit during mobilisation in 1942, Driver Ivan Robert Devcich, formerly of the Seventh Composite Company, New Zealand Army Service Corps, has been sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment. On a second charge of losing clothing and equipment valued at £3 18/4 by neglect, stoppages in pay were ordered.
