MERCHANT NAVY
LONDON, July 24. More than 30,000 British Merchant Navy personnel have lost their lives in the war, says a report to the National Union of Seamen. The report adds that equally grievous losses must still be reckoned as the war against Japan engages more and more of the Merchant Navy’s resources.
