CO-OP. WOMEN’S GUILD
ANNUAL CONFERENCE The annual conference of the N.Z. Co-operative Women’s Guild was commenced at Runanga on Saturday morning. On Friday evening a civic reception to the delegates was held. In addition to the Mayor (Mr. E. W. Kennedy) addresses were given by (Mrs. J. Reynolds (President. Runanga Guildh and'Messrs F. Oaklev (President Co-op. Society) and T. Bowes, (Manager, Co-op. Society). Mrs. O. King (Dominion President) and Mrs. L. Bennett (Dominion Secretary) returned thanks, for the welcome. Items were given by the junior and senior members of the Runanga Guild. On Saturday evening the visitors were the guests of the Miners’ Union and vesterday they visited the Punakaiki area. The conference is being continued tb-day.
