LEAGUE FOOTBALL
TO-MORROW’S ATTRACTIONS
Perhaps the most even game tomorrow, when the West Coast Rugby League’s senior championship competition will open, will be that in which the champions, Blackball, and Ngahere - meet. It would be difficult to pick any other winner than Blackball, but Ngahere in the one round competition, gave Blackball the most opposition of any side. The game at Wingham Park will not be devoid of interest. Marist had a good win at their last meeting, but that was when Kohinoor appeared on the field for the first time. Kohinoor held Ngahere to a draw, and Ngahere obtained a decision over Marist. Good football can be expected. The other senior game will be at Brunner, where the home team will meet Runanga, who at their last meeting put un over 50 points. They will most probably have a more difficult task to-morrow.
Lower grade games will be played at all grounds.
