A South Eastern Command communique says: The Allies advancing along the coast road south of Taungup entered Sandoway without opposition. On the 14th Army front the Allies occupied, after light opposition, Padan, 25 miles south west ol Minbu. After heavy fighting we cleared a village in the area ol the Pegu-Martaban railway. 20 miles east of Pegu.
