QUISLING’S SURRENDER

PROTEST AT TREATMENT LONDON, May 9. News is still awaited of the Allied delegation which flew to Norway yesterday to arrange the capitulation of the Germans there. The Norwegian High 6 Command has issued a communique saying that Norwegian troops and police nave occupied the northern part of the country. , , r Vidkun Quisling, who was head o.i the German-controlled 'Government in Norway, has given himself up m the Norwegian police, according to reports from Stockholm. Quisling and several of his Ministers are m custody in Oslo. The Norwegians have applied to Sweden for permission to transport 300,000 German soldiers across Swed'Bn‘ LATER.

Quisling and several members of his Cabinet to-day gave themselves up at Oslo police station. Quisling was pale and shaking all over. He knocked at the door of the famous Gestapo prison at Oslo at nine a.m. and announced he wished to place himself at the disoosal of the authorities.
