“TWO-UP” PREFERENCE
Certain people in Australia are paying up to 10/- each for English pennies.
Two-up has been described as Australia’s national game. Two pennies are tossed into the air and the players bet on heads or tails. A minimum of equipment is necessary and the participants can run to any number.
The English pennies are sought foxtossing. They are truer in balance, do not “float” in the air when spun, do not chip on roads ox- hard floors—images are more readily distinguishable.
Gaming police say that “schools” lose caste when they have to uss Australian pennies.
