LONDON, March' 25.

Scots all over the world who take i pride in their ancestry will now save greater facilities for discover,ng facts about their forbears. A Scots Ancestry Research Council has just been established in Edinburgh with Thomas Johnson, Secretary of State for Scotland, Lord Rosebery, and Lord Alness as trustees. The organisation, which is independent and unofficial, will undertake to trace ancestors for many generajons back for a fee. Mr Johnston estimates that there are probably 20 million people throughout the world who are proud o claim Scots descent. The Council’s work is intended , to ?ive Scots at home or abroad a live interest in the people from whom they come. It is hoped that many Scots abroad will be encouraged to Asit Scotland and a considerable elect on tourist traffic is envisaged. •
