Issued by the Food and Rationing Controller. &EAT RATIONING SPECIAL JNOTICE TO FARMERS 0 The surrender of meat coupons by farmers and members of their households, wherever home-killed meat is consumed, is compulsory. . All persons in the households of farmers .who kill the whole or some part of their meat requirements, or obtain meat from another farmer under a sharing arrangement approved by the Rationing Controller, must inform the issuing officer of this fact when they receive their new ration books. MEAT COUPONS WILL BE TAKEN FROM THE RATION BOOKS AND REPLACED BY A SPECIAL PERMIT FORM. The special permit will enable the farmer to obtain full rations of meat from a butcher, and coupons for hotel or restaurant meals may be obtained from the local Rationing Office as they are needed. - COUNTRY RESIDENTS: If yon experience any difficulty in handling meat coupons, because of the distance from the nearest retail butcher, you may take advantage of this permit scheme and apply to your local Rationing Officer for a Special Permit m exchange for your* meat coupons.
