HIGH DEATH DUTIES. I [per press association.] DUNEDIN, November 29. ] The estate of the late Sir Percy Sar- : goods has been sworn as under £200,000. Apart from specific bequests and , certain legacies, the residue is left for ■ charitable purposes. In t to .several works of art, the Dunedin Art Gallery benefits by a legacy of £2OOO for a new wing. The testator’s ethnological collection is left to the museum. The residue of the estate is to be held upon trust to distribute the income and capital amongst such charitable institutions, or other charitable objects in New Zealand, as the trustees may select, irrespective of locality, religious creed or- persuasion. The testator expresses the wish that the whole of this fund be paid within 25 years of his death. It is estimated that the estate duty will amount to £120,000.
