GENERAL STOPPAGE FEARED

A general stoppage of coal production in New South Wales is feared as a result of a decision of aggregate meetings of colliery members of the Amalgamated Engineering Union on the northern coalfields, to cease work immediately in protest against the provisions of the new Federal Award for the coal industry.
