U.S.S. vessel, Sydney, early. SHIPPING NOTES. Kiwitea arrived on Saturday evening from Wellington, and is to sail to-morrow afternoon for return, via Westport. Rata arrived on Saturday night with cargo from Wellington. She is loading for Gisborne and Nelson, and is scheduled to sail to-night. Kaimiro arrived last night with cargo from Wellington. She is to sail on Wednesday afternoon for Auckland and Portland via Westport. Gael is loading sheep and general cargo for Jackson’s Bay and Okuru and will sail this evening, if the bar moderates.
Puriri is due on Wednesday, from Nelson to load timber for Port Waikato and Onehunga. Kalingo is to leave Wellington on Wednesday evening for Greymouth, and is due on Thursday, to load timber for Miramar and coal for Wellington. Totara is to load at Bruce Bay on Thursday, for Miramar and Wellington. Tees is due next Monday from Lyttelton and Wellington, with cargo, and will load timber for Wellington. Matthew Flinders is due early with general cargo from Australia. After discharge at Greymouth, she will proceed to Vanikoro to load. Union S.S. Co. vessel is now due about April 29, to load timber for Sydney and Newcastle.
