General situation: A depression is now crossing the Dominion, the lowest pressure being west of Taranaki. An anti-cyclone of considerable intensity covers Eastern Australia.
Forecast: Moderate but freshening northerly winds, turning southerly tonight. Weather dull and unsettled, with rain probable. Seas slight to moderate.
