BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS [by CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] (Recd. August 11. 1 p.m.) LONDON. August 10. The Royal and Ancient Championship Commiicoe announces that the amateur championship for 1937 will be played at Royal St. George’s. Sandwich, on May 24, and the open championship at Carnoustie on .Inly 5. These dates will permit British and United States players to compete in the championships of both countries. BELGIAN CHAMPIONSHIP. BRUSSELS, August 10. Boyer won the Belgian golf championship with 285. Cotton was second with 256.
