SHIPPING NOTES. Totara is to sail to-night, with timber for Wellington and Miramar. She returns next Monday, to load for Wellington and Petone. Waimea is due late to-night, from Wellington, via Westport, and will load timber for Port Waikato, thence Onehunga, to load general cargo for Westport and Greymouth. Titoki is due at midnight to-night, from Tarakohe and Westport. After discharge she will load coal and timber for Picton, sailing to-morroAV. Kartigi leaves Wellington to-morrow afternoon with cargo for Greymouth, and is due on Wednesday evening, to load for Auckland and Portland. Gabriella leaves Dunedin to-night, and is due at Greymouth on Thursday, to load timber for Brisbane. Another Union Company vessel Avill load timber about August 24, for Sydney.

Hokitika •is expected to leave Wei lington to-morrow night, with genera cargo for Westport, Greymouth ant Hokitika.

Karepo is due on Thursday, from Napier, to load for Miramar and Wellington. Captain A. F. Inman has returned from holiday leave, and has taken command of the Kartigi, relieving Captain C. C. Waters, for holidays. Captain D. M. Keith has taken command of the Kini, relieving Captain A. T. Adams, for holidays.
