SHIPPING NOTES. Gael sailed this morning, for Hoki tika, to load for Bruce Bay.

Alexander sailed this afternoon with coal for Nelson. Huia sailed this afternoon, with tim her for Melbourne.

Totara is loading timber for Wellington and Miramar, and is expected to sail to-morrow evening.

Titoki leaves Tarakohe to-day with cement for Westport and Greymouth. She is due here to-morrow night, and after discharge will load coal and timber for Picton.

Waimea leaves Wellington to-day. for Westport, and Greymouth, and is due here to-morrow night. She will load timber for Port Waikato, sailing on Tuesday morning. From the latter port she proceeds to Onehunga. to load general cargo for Westport.and Greymouth. Kartigi left Westport late on Wednesday "night, with cargo for Greymouth, via Wellington, and is due on Tuesday, to load for Auckland, and Portland.

Hokitika leaves Hokitika this afternoon. with timber for Wellington. She leaves Wellington on Tuesday night with general cargo for Westport, Greymouth and Hokitika. Gabriella is expected at Greymouth on Thursday next, to load timber for Brisbane, and another Union Company vessel will load timber about August 17, for Sydney. OTHER PORTS. LONDON, August 5. Arrived at Balboa, Norfolk.—Sailed, Port Denison from Falkland Islands. Mataroa from Kingston, Ashburton from Hampton Roads. HOKITIKA, August 7. Arrived at 11.40 a.m., Gael, from Greymouth.
