BYRD EXPEDITION

WEATHER KERFS “WARM.” [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] LITTLE AMERICA, June 3. The uriseasonal warmth here continues For 12 days now, with a single exception, the temperature has been above zero. On Sunday, the thermometer touched sixteen above zero. Mi' Haines, the Senior Meteorologist*, says that vast streams of warm air are pouring through the upper atmosphere from the oceans to the northward. He commented that he did not know whether to consider this warm spell abnormal or not, as this is only the third winter in which the weather conditions have been studied —once by Amundsen’s expedition, and then by Byrd’s- first expedition.
