CHRISTCHURCH, April 17.
Walla Walla failed at Addington, today, in an attempt to break his mile record of. 2mins. 2 2-ssec. There was a large crowd present. Walla Walla took 2.3 4-5. Worthy Queen easily broke the New Zealand trotting record for a mile, of 2min. 9sec. Her time was 2min. 2 3-ssec., a sensational performance. The old record was 2.9, held by Todd Lonzia. AUBURN LAD GOES 2.2 2-5. Auburn Lad, paced by the hurdle racer Advance Camp, paced a mile in 2min. 2 2-ssec. This is a new record for New Zealand, and equals the Australian and New Zealand record created by Walla Walla at Harold Park, Sydney.
