“Diggers’’ is tlie story of the Australian , soldier, who earned the plaudits of the world for his bravery and sense of humour. The action centres mainly aboift the lighter side of things. The result is a work of comedy, with occasional pathos, which will iihmortalise the Australian soldier for all time. The exploits of two care-free soldiers, “Chic” Williams arid “Joe” Mulga, through the Great War, their continual brushes with those in authority, their antics while on leave —with permission and' without —will reduce any audience to hysteria.

“Diggers” featuring Pat Hanna, will be screened to-night only.

WAI UTA—TO-NIGHT “Pdg 0’ My Heart” will be screened to-riight. SURF CLUB DANCE Don’t forget the Surf Club dance to-night in the BlaketOwn Hall. Two novelties will be run. Gaiety Orchestra, good floor. E. Fell M.C. Dancing 8.30 to 12. Come and help the Club along. KATHLEEN AROON. The success that was achieved by the Irish musical play “Kathleen Aroon,” has led to many requests that the Show should be repeated,- and a repeat performance will be given at the Town Hall to-mOrrow night by the members of the St. Columba Repertory Society. Under the production of Mrs J. W. Dickson, “Kathleen Aroori” Was immensely successful, and a crowded' house should attend the third performance. Charming Irish riielodies, ballets, some of Greymouth’s beSt-kriown vocalists, a large chorus, are combined with a. story brimful of interest, the ingredients that go to make “Kathleen Aroon” so enjoyable. More than eighty, all told, take part in the production, which is on all sides acclhimed as one of the best amateur productions that have appeared on a Greymouth stage. Proceeds are in aid of Marist School fund, arid prices are low.
