Forty residents of the village of Minavein, in the Secunderabad district are on trial on charges of arson and murder.

It is alleged that as the sequel to a village feud, they set fire to a house of the opposing faction. Five inhabitants who attempted to escape were thrown back into the blazing building and were roasted alive.
