Mr Forbes added that it was not to be expected that extra taxation should be imposed, so that the salary cuts could be restored. Mr Forbes said that/ the Customs tariff will be one of the earliest items for consideration during the next session of Parliament, which opens in e June. Another important matter to receive early consideration is legislation relating to the dairy industry ip New Zealand.
