As the sequel to several inquests, at. which it was found that the deaths of women were due to drugs employed for slimming purpose,s and also to the Paddington Coroner’s suggestion in connection with the death of Miss Philcox, the New Zealander, that the Poisons Committee should proscribe these preparations, Mr. Gilmour announced in the House of Commons that dinitrophenole and dititrocresols, the drugs used for slimming, would be gazetted as poisons. BICKERTON CASE. LONDON, April 13. The British Consul at Tokio has arranged for counsel to represent Bickerton. The latter has been transferred to a suburban prison. He is well, in good spirits, and has no complaints. RUSSIAN RESCUE COMPLETED. MOSCOW, April 13. Three aeroplanes rescued the last six of the Chelisukin’s party, also the last dogs. ITALO-BRITISH RELATIONS. . RUGBY, April 13. Signor Savich’, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs for Italy, will arrive in London, on a courtesy visit, on April 22, and is expected to stay until April 26. He will be the guest of Sir John Simon at dinner at the Foreign Office on April 23/ He has been invited to dimjfat the Middle Temple on
the following day, and a reception will be given in his honour at the Italian Embassy on April 25.
