Manchester doctors are puzzled how to treat a girl of twelve years, who for the past seven weeks has extruded her tongue and emitted a terrifying shriek, lasting six seconds, at fiveminute intervals, for twelve hours daily, as if she were being murdered. The child is otherwise normal.
