AUSTRALIA WINS TEST MELBOURNE, December 31. The third tennis Test, Australia v. England opened Saturday and at the end of the day’s play the scores were: Singles:—Hopman (Australia) beat Wilde 6/1, 6/3; McGrath (Australia) beat Lee 6/0, 61/1; Hughes (England) beat Turnbull 6/4, 6/1. Doubles: —Perry and Lee (England) beat Hopman and Quist 3/6, 6/4, 6/2. MELBOURNE, January 1. i In the tennis Test singles, Hopman beat Hughes 6/3 and 6/1; Quist beat Lee 1/6, 6/3, 6/3; McGrath beat Perry 7/5, 6/4.
