Arrived, Gael, from Hokitika. Sailed, Mako, for Greymouth. AUCKLAND, December 5. Sailed, Kaiapoi, for Greymouth. SUVA, December 6. The Malolo arrived at ten o’clock this morning after a record trip from Auckland. She sails this afternoon.
. SHIPPING NOTES. The Kaituna will sail on Sunday with timber for Melbourne. The Kartigi is loaded with coal for Auckland, and was to sail this afternoon. The Kanna is loading coal and timber for Miramar and Wellington, and will sail on Sunday. The Poolta is loading timber for Sydney and Brisbane, sailing on Monday afternoon. The Rata is loading coal for Onakaka and Tarakohe, and sails tb-morrow. The Titoki is due to-night from Wellington, via Nelson and- Westport, with general cargo. After discharge she loads coal for Wanganui. The Orepuki was to sail to-day with timber, for Petone. She leaves Wellington on Saturday for Westport and Greymouth witji general cargo. After discharge she will load coal and poles for Dargaville. The Gabriella is due to sail early with timber for Melbourne.
The Opihi left Wellington to-day for Greymouth and is due to-morrow The Kaiapoi left Auckland on Thurs-/ day for Grey mouth The Kaimai will leave Auckland tomorrow for Greymouth. The Kamona leaves Wellington today for Greymouth. Captain W. J. S. Eyre is taking command of the Kamo at Sydney this week, relieving Captain J Stewart for 'holidays. Captain A. F. Inman is being appointed to the Kowhai at Melbourne this week, relieving Captain E. J. C. Gibson for instructions. Mr. R. D.Brebner has joined the Kamona as chief officer, vice Mr. A. B. Atiderfeon, who has resigned from the company’s service. Mr. C. H. George has relieved Mr. J. A. Pearson as chief officer of the Katoa. Mr. L. G. Ramsay is rejoining the Kiwitea as chief officer, relieving Mr. T. A. McPherson for further orders. Mr G. M. Schofield has been appointed second officer of the Ngatoro.
