BANK CLERK CHARGED

ALLEGED THEFT OF MONEY. — . ' . SYDNEY, November 15., Norman Edgar Mcßae, - cl.prk,.. 28, was charged at the.-Central’ Polipe Court yesterday with having stolen £5OO, while employed as a clerk at the English,. Scottish and Australian Bank,. Oxford. Street branch. fence, said defendant had been on the staff of the bank for 14 years and bore an excellent character. He believed that full restitution of the amount had been made to hte- bank. The magistrate, in committing the defendant for trial at the next Quarter Sessions, said that in view of Mr. Niland’s statement regarding restitution, he would reduce bail from £5OO to £lOO.
